Work Session –
Summary of past Energy Programs and Potential Energy Projects.
City Manager John Salomone introduced Mike Long, Capital Improvement Manager and Frank DeOrio, Municipal Utilities Director. Mr. Long recapped the City’s past efforts on energy programs. He introduced John Montone, President of the Independent Energy Efficient Program for Municipalities in New York State and Superintendent of the Village of Solvay Electric Department. Mr. Montone discussed the benefits of public power and how it works for municipalities. Council discussed.
Discussion of Alternative Energy Projects.
Kanyan V. Zadeh, a representative of Eco Technology Solutions presented Council with a proposal for development of a biowaste-to-energy facility for the City.

Other Business –
Councilor Jacobs commented on the graffiti that was painted on City Hall and thanked Jerry DelFavero, Mark Malenick, and John Salomone, for their quick response to the problem.
Councilor Jacobs asked that the Police Department look at truck traffic on Cross St. and Washington St.
Councilor Hunter commented on the poor condition of Wall St.
Council adjourned to executive session at 8:05PM to discuss the financial history of a particular corporation, ending at 8:30PM
